Built by humans for people and plants
Being full-spectrum white LED light, Samsung LM301b/h LED’s have a more natural color to the human eye compared to the blue spectrum MH and the yellow/red HPS lights. That helps you, the indoor grower, monitor your plants for pests and disease control more accurately. UV eye protection is recommended, but Pete here at ALEDGL recommends, just like the sun, you do not want to look directly at the light and if you feel you need them, a good pair of sunglasses or the green-tinted glasses for LED lights
Easy and simple
Most multi-HID light setups commonly use 240v power to reduce heat from a lower amperage use and make controlling the lights easier with high power control switches and even more if you hire a professional to install it. At 240v the 1000w HID’s use about 4 amps and using 120v uses about 8 amps, but ALEDGL 440w (900w~ equivalent) only uses about 4.5 amps on 125v and less than 2 amps using 240v. Although using 240v is more efficient, what many people do not understand is that lower power/wattage is what lowers your energy/electric bill and not lower amperage usage. The electricity you use is charged by the kilowatt-hours and not amperage use. So 1000w plugged into 120v or 240v is still charging by the kilowatt-hours.

For the indoor grower with hydroponic setups, you can rest easy knowing that accidental water splashing or spraying of the lights will not be a problem. All power cords and lights operate on 120v/240v and all wiring harnesses are assembled with waterproof connections for even more peace of mind. The light detects what voltage you plug into and automatically converts to the proper voltage setting of operation. There is no long cool-down period when the power goes out and back on during storms etc… because they turn on and off just like any switched or dimmable home light. Simple!
